Celebratory Decor at The Shrine Home
Description:
A historical photo of the Shepard-Nelson House which had been located on the northwest corner of East Front and Broad Streets, used as the headquarters for the Sudan Temple in New Bern, NC until 1957. Known as The Shrine Home, it is shown adorned with festive bunting and flags. The house was later demolished in favor of a parking lot next to the new Shriner's headquarters. The New Bern Historical Society owns the digital copy of this image.
